Class activity

Last class we had a very interesting group activity where the entire class room was split up into zones of "strongly agree, agree, disagree, and strongly disagree." There was purposefully no option for neutrality so that the class could engage in meaningful conversation about their opinions on the topics raised. This activity felt the most free because it allowed for each individual to voice their opinion on a specific topic, which helps to make it easier to focus on that topic. The majority of the issues we talked about were about relationships and emotional involvement and if gender played a role in how individuals act in relationships. We also touched on some moral issues and discussed gay/lesbian lifestyle and stereotypes. The entire activity as a whole helped us to get to know our classmates better in my opinion. The most interesting comment that was made throughout the entire activity was when some one said "When I'm hungry I eat and when I'm horny, I fuck." Of course it was a little bit alarming at first and a little bit over the top but the point that the person was trying to get across was received. I think it was enriching to share my opinions with my classmates and feel no pressure what so ever.
